The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

Sometime between 7:00pm on July 31^st  and 7:30am on August 1^st , unknown subject(s) burglarized Contractors Recycle located at 2990 N. Woodford St.  Suspect(s) used a prying tool to pry open a metal wall on the east side of the tool shop to gain entry.  Once inside, suspect(s) stole numerous miscellaneous power and hand tools.  There are no suspect(s) at this time.

Sometime between 8:00pm on June 25^th and 6:15pm on June 26^th, unknown subject(s) burglarized Bethel Tabernacle Church located at 1110 E. Curtis Ave.  Suspect(s) used a prying tool to pry open the northeast door to gain entry.  Once inside, suspect(s) stole a Peavy, amplified speaker and a small amount of US Currency.  There are no suspect(s) at this time.

News Release 6/30/14

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On June 26^th at approximately 8:00 AM, a home invasion occurred at a residence in the 900 block of N. Folk St.  The victims were held at gunpoint and tied up inside the residence.  The suspects stole the victim’s 2002 red colored Ford Mustang, bearing IL registration, P419191, which has been recovered.    They also stole cell phones and a Sony Playstation.

The victims described the suspects as both being black males, 601/thin builds.  The victims advised the suspects had coverings over their faces.

Sometime between midnight on April 23^rd and 3:40pm on April 26^th, unknown subject(s) forced entry to a door on the northwest side of Sunnyside Church of Christ, located at 821 N. Sunnyside Rd.  Once inside, subject(s) stole a Vizio DVD blu-ray player and a digital tuner.  There are no suspect(s) at this time.
