Crime of the Week 09/29/2025
The Decatur Police Department is asking for your help in solving this week’s Crime of the Week.
At approximately 01:20 on September 7th, 2025, Decatur Police Officers responded to a Burglary at 251 N 22nd St. Video surveillance at the business showed a large concrete stone being thrown through the front door glass granting two suspects access to the store. The suspects entered the store and stole an unknown amount of merchandise.
The first suspect can be described as a black female, wearing a black sweatshirt, black shorts and blue medical mask.
The second suspect can be described as wearing a black jacket with a fur lined hood, black pants, black mask and armed with what appeared to be a large kitchen knife.

Crime of the Week 3-3-25
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On February 11, 2025, at approximately 2:30 A.M., Decatur police responded to an armed robbery at the Hucks Gas Station, located at 204 N. 22nd Street.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store clerk, who reported that a suspect entered the establishment, brandished a silver-colored handgun, and demanded money. The suspect was provided with an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. The individual was last seen running west across North 22nd Street.
The suspect is described as a Black female, approximately 18 to 21 years of age. She was wearing a baby blue coat with the hood up, a black face covering, black and white leggings with designs, and black Ugg-style boots.

Crime of the week 2-3-25
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On January 5th and January 26th 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, Decatur Police responded to Gamestop located at 4641 E Maryland in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, officers discovered no signs of forced entry, but several items were reported missing.
Surveillance footage from both incidents revealed a white male suspect unlawfully entering the store using a key. The suspect is described as a heavier-set white male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white shoes, and dark-colored gloves.

Crime of the Week 12/16/24
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
In recent weeks, the property located at 815 E Kenwood, which houses industrial space for various businesses, has been the target of multiple burglaries.
Surveillance footage has captured the suspect in two separate incidents. In one instance, the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, with short brown hair, wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. In another incident, the suspect is a white male wearing a blue hard hat, a black long-sleeve shirt, and pants.
